Getting started
- Install Sizewise Size Charts from the Wix App Market on a site that uses Wix Stores.
- Open the app from your site’s dashboard and pick a template (women’s or men’s tops, jeans and pants, dresses, shoes, kids’ clothing or rings) or start from a blank chart.
- Adjust the sizes to your products, choose where the chart shows, and click Save.
- Add the Size guide link to your product page (next section), then publish your site.
Add the link to your product page
The size guide is a small Size guide link that appears under the product options (such as size and color) on your product page. To add it, click Add to product page at the top of the app’s dashboard page and follow the steps. You can also add it in the Editor: open your product page, select it, click the Plugins icon and add Size Guide. Publish your site to show it to shoppers.
The link only appears on products that have a chart. A product with no matching chart shows nothing.
Editing a chart
- Chart name is for you; Title shoppers see appears at the top of the size guide (leave it empty to use the name).
- The first column holds your sizes. Type into the cells, add rows and columns, or use Paste from a spreadsheet to paste a table copied from Excel or Google Sheets, including its title row.
- Each column has a menu (⋯) to insert or delete columns and to choose whether the column is converted between centimeters and inches. Each row has a menu to move, insert or delete rows.
- Under How to measure, add an illustration and measuring or fit tips. They appear under the table.
- Turn off Show this chart on my site to hide a chart without deleting it.
- The preview on the right shows exactly what shoppers will see.
Which chart a product shows
Each chart applies to all products, to products in specific categories (called collections in some stores), or to specific products. When a product matches more than one chart, the app picks one in this order:
- a chart chosen for the product itself;
- a chart for any of the product’s categories (including parent categories);
- a chart for all products.
If two charts tie, the one edited most recently wins. Hidden charts are never shown.
From your products list
In your dashboard, go to Catalog › Store Products › Products. Open a product’s ⋯ menu and choose Size chart. To set several products at once, open More Actions at the top of the list, choose Size charts and search for the products. Pick the chart these products should show, or Automatic to let your chart rules decide again. Choosing a chart pins the products to it, so they show it even if another chart matches their category. Pinned products also appear in the chart editor under Also on these products.
Centimeters and inches
Choose the unit you enter measurements in. Shoppers can switch between centimeters and inches in the size guide, and every measurement column is converted (inches to the nearest tenth, centimeters to the nearest half). Columns with size systems, such as US, UK or EU sizes, are not converted; the app marks them for you when you use a template or paste a table, and you can change this in the column menu. The size guide opens in inches for shoppers in the United States and in centimeters elsewhere, unless you set a fixed unit in the Editor. For charts like ring sizes in millimeters, choose No conversion.
Customize the look and words
In the Editor, select the Size Guide plugin on your product page and open its settings. You can change:
- Texts: the link text, the “How to measure” title, the unit switch labels (cm, in), and the close and unit-switch labels read by screen readers. Leave a field empty to use the default in your site’s language. Fill them all to show the size guide in a language the app doesn’t include.
- Link: a link, an outlined button or a filled button; text size, alignment, colors and corner radius.
- Icon: ruler, tape measure, hanger, shirt, info or none, before or after the text.
- Spacing above and below the link.
- Window: accent and table header colors, striped rows, corner radius, width, and which unit the chart opens in.
By default the size guide uses Wix’s own blue and greys, so it fits any Wix site.
Translations (Wix Multilingual)
If your site has more than one language with Wix Multilingual, each chart gets a Translations section in the app. Pick a language and translate the title shoppers see, the texts in the table (column names, size labels and other words; numbers don’t need translating) and the measuring tips. Translate empty fields automatically fills the empty ones with Wix machine translation, which uses your site’s Wix Multilingual word credits; check the result before you save. The preview can show the chart in any of your languages. Shoppers see the chart in the language they picked on your site, and anything left empty shows as written. Charts you create from a template come already translated into the site languages the template includes (English, Hebrew, Spanish, French and German).
Troubleshooting
- I don’t see the link on my product page. Make sure the link was added (see above) and your site was published after adding it. Check that the product has a chart: the chart must be shown on the site and assigned to the product, one of its categories, or all products.
- The wrong chart shows. A chart chosen for the product beats one for its categories, which beats one for all products. Check the Shows on column in the app.
- The app says it couldn’t load your charts. The charts are saved in your site’s CMS. Make sure the CMS is added to your site, then reopen the app. If the problem continues, contact us.
- A column converts when it shouldn’t (or doesn’t when it should). Open the column’s menu (⋯) and change Convert this column.
Privacy and data
Your charts are saved on your own site. The app collects nothing about your shoppers. Read the privacy policy.
