Privacy policy

Lumo Accessibility Toolbar adds an accessibility toolbar to your Wix site. The toolbar collects nothing about your visitors and sends nothing to us. This policy explains what the toolbar stores in a visitor’s browser, where its file comes from, and what the app reads in your dashboard.

Effective date: October 20, 2026

Summary

  • The toolbar on your site sets no cookies, sends no requests to us, and reads no personal data about your visitors. We have no server behind it.
  • A visitor’s toolbar settings (for example bigger text or high contrast) are saved only in that visitor’s own browser, in local storage, under the key zr-a11y.
  • The toolbar file is loaded from our file storage on Google Cloud, or from Wix’s hosting if that fails. Like any file a page loads, the request reaches that host with technical data such as the visitor’s IP address.
  • In your dashboard, the app reads your site’s number of unique visitors in the last 30 days from Wix, only to show your usage and decide whether the Free plan’s limit is passed. Only a yes/no flag goes into your site, for the “unlicensed” mark.
  • We keep no copy of your settings or your visitor numbers, and we don’t sell or share personal information.

Who we are

Lumo Accessibility Toolbar (“the app”) is developed by Yairix Studio (“we”, “us”). For the limited personal information we process ourselves (described below), we are the data controller:

Scope

This policy covers the Lumo Accessibility Toolbar app for Wix, the toolbar it adds to your site, and the pages about it on this website. It applies to Wix site owners who install the app (“you”) and their collaborators, and describes what the toolbar does in your visitors’ browsers. Wix’s own processing is covered by Wix’s privacy policy, and Google’s by Google’s.

Your site’s visitors

  • No cookies, no tracking: the toolbar sets no cookies, uses no analytics or advertising tools, and doesn’t fingerprint or identify visitors.
  • Nothing sent to us: the toolbar makes no requests to us or to any server of ours. It runs entirely in the visitor’s browser.
  • Settings in the browser: when a visitor turns on an adjustment, the toolbar saves their choice in the browser’s local storage (key zr-a11y) so it applies on every page and on later visits. It stays on that device only. The visitor can clear it with Reset in the panel, or by clearing their browser data.
  • Report emails: if you set an email for reports, the panel’s report link opens the visitor’s own email app, addressed to you. Whatever the visitor sends goes from their email provider to you; it doesn’t pass through us or the app.
  • Accessibility needs: choosing an adjustment can hint at a visitor’s needs. That choice never leaves the visitor’s browser: neither you, nor Wix through the app, nor we receive it.

Because the toolbar sets no cookies and tracks no one, it is added to your site as an essential script, so it works for every visitor, including those who haven’t accepted cookies.

Where the toolbar file comes from

The toolbar is one JavaScript file. Your site’s snippet loads it from our public file storage on Google Cloud Storage (storage.googleapis.com), and, if that fails, from the app’s hosting on Wix. As with any file a web page loads, the visitor’s browser sends that host a standard request with technical data such as the IP address, browser type and the page address it came from. Google and Wix process that data to deliver the file and keep their services secure, under their own policies. The file doesn’t set cookies, and we don’t use these requests to identify or track anyone.

Data the app uses

DataWhyWhere it goes
Your toolbar settings: on or off, color, corner, the address of your accessibility statement, an email for reports, and your site’s name To show the toolbar the way you set it up, with your statement and report links Written into your site’s Custom Code as one snippet (in the head of every page), through Wix APIs. Read back from that snippet when you open the app. Not stored by us
Your site’s number of unique visitors in the last 30 days, from Wix’s analytics for your site To show your usage on the app’s page and decide whether the Free plan’s limit is passed Read in your dashboard through Wix APIs when you open the app. Not stored by us. Only a yes/no “over the limit” flag goes into your site’s snippet
Your plan (Free or Pro) and plan purchase or change events To apply the Free plan’s limit and to take the “unlicensed” mark off when you buy Pro Read and received through Wix. Not stored by us
Basic site details (such as the site’s address and name) To fill in defaults, such as the site name in report emails Read through Wix APIs when needed

The app’s permissions are to manage your site’s Custom Code (to add and update the toolbar’s snippet), to manage the app’s embedded scripts (only to turn off an older way of adding the toolbar), to read your site’s analytics (for the visitor count), and to read basic site details. It doesn’t read your products, orders, customers, members, contacts, forms or payments.

The visitor count

  • The count is Wix’s own number of unique visitors to your site in the last 30 days, the same figure Wix shows you in your site’s analytics. It is a single number; the app receives no list of visitors and nothing that identifies them.
  • The app reads it only in your dashboard, when you open the app’s page. Nothing about visitors is sent from your live site to calculate it.
  • If the count can’t be read, your site is treated as under the limit and is never marked.
  • The only thing written to your site is whether the limit is passed (true or false), inside the toolbar’s snippet, so the toolbar can show the “unlicensed” mark.

How processing works

  • The app’s page runs inside your Wix dashboard. It reads and writes the toolbar’s snippet and reads your visitor count through Wix APIs, as the signed-in user and within the permissions you approved.
  • The app’s backend runs on Wix’s servers as part of the app, not on servers we operate. It receives Wix’s plan events and updates the snippet when you buy or change a plan.
  • The toolbar on your site is static code. It doesn’t call the app, Wix APIs or us.
  • We operate no server that receives or holds your settings, your visitor numbers or your visitors’ data.

Roles: you, Wix, Google and us

  • You, the site owner, decide whether to add the toolbar, how it’s set up, and what your accessibility statement says. You control your site and its visitors’ data.
  • Wix hosts your site, the toolbar’s snippet, your site’s analytics and the app, and handles billing for paid plans.
  • Google hosts the toolbar file on Google Cloud Storage and delivers it to browsers.
  • We provide the software. We don’t receive your settings, your visitor numbers or any data about your visitors.

No sale or sharing

  • We do not sell personal information, and we do not “share” it for cross-context behavioral advertising (as those terms are used in the California Consumer Privacy Act).
  • We do not use any data from your site or your visitors for advertising, profiling or training machine-learning models.

This website

This website is hosted by Wix. We haven’t added analytics, advertising or tracking tools to it, and the pages don’t set cookies themselves. Like any web host, Wix processes technical data such as IP addresses and browser information to deliver and secure the site, as described in the Wix Privacy Policy. The studio contact form is covered by the Yairix Studio privacy policy.

When you contact us

If you email us, we receive your email address, name (if included) and whatever you write, and use them only to reply and help you. Our email is provided by Google (Gmail), which processes messages under its own privacy terms.

Retention and removal

  • Visitors’ settings stay in each visitor’s browser until they reset them or clear their browser data.
  • Your settings stay in the toolbar’s snippet in your site’s Custom Code for as long as the snippet is there.
  • The visitor count isn’t stored by the app or by us; it’s read again each time you open the app.
  • Uninstalling the app ends its access to your site. It doesn’t delete the toolbar’s snippet, which stays in your site’s Custom Code until you turn it off or delete it there (Settings → Custom Code). Turn the toolbar off on the app’s page before you uninstall if you want it gone.
  • Support emails: kept for as long as needed to handle your request and any follow-up, usually no longer than 24 months.

Security

The app accesses your site only through Wix’s authenticated APIs, over encrypted connections, within the permissions you approved. The toolbar file is served over HTTPS from a read-only public storage bucket, with a content-based file name so a published file never changes. The snippet treats your settings as data, not code. Because we keep no copy of your settings or visitor numbers, there is no developer-side store of your data to protect.

Your rights

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct, delete, restrict or object to the processing of your personal information, and to data portability. In the EU and UK, you may also complain to your data protection authority; in Israel, to the Privacy Protection Authority. California residents have the right to know, delete and correct personal information, and to opt out of its sale or sharing (we do neither). To exercise a right regarding information we hold about you (such as support emails), email us. We hold no information about your site’s visitors: a visitor’s toolbar settings are only in their own browser, and they can clear them at any time.

Children

The app is a business tool for site owners and is not directed to children. The toolbar collects no personal information from any visitor, including children.

Changes to this policy

If the app or the law changes, we may update this policy. We will post the new version on this page with a new effective date, and highlight material changes before they take effect.
