Summary

Back in Stock Insights (“the app”) is developed by Yairix Studio (“we”, “us”). For the limited personal information we process ourselves (described below), we are the data controller:

Scope
This policy covers the Back in Stock Insights app for Wix Stores, and the pages about it on this website. It applies to Wix site owners who install the app (“you”), to their collaborators, and describes how the app treats information about the site’s customers. Wix’s own processing is covered by Wix’s privacy policy, not by this one.
Data the app accesses
When you open the app, it reads the following from your Wix site through official Wix APIs, using the permissions you approved:

Order records returned by Wix can include other fields, such as billing or shipping details. The app ignores them and uses only the fields listed above, in memory. It never receives payment card details, and it never writes to, edits or deletes anything in your store.
How processing works
- The app is a page inside your Wix dashboard. All calculations run in your browser while the page is open.
- Data is requested directly from Wix APIs and kept only in the browser’s memory. When you close or reload the page, it is gone. The app does not use cookies, local storage or any other storage for your store data.
- Nothing is sent to us or to any third party. We operate no servers or databases that receive or hold Wix data.
- The app’s files are hosted by Wix as part of the Wix app platform.
- When the page opens, it also loads a short public list of our other Wix apps from www.yairix.com, so it can show a “More apps” section. That request contains no store, customer or account data. Like any web request, it reaches our website host (Wix) with technical data such as your IP address and browser type, which we don’t use to identify you.
Customer emails
Customer email addresses (and contact references) are used for one purpose only: to recognize that the customer who asked to be notified is the same customer who later placed an order. This matching happens in memory, in your browser. Emails are never displayed in the app, never included in exports, never stored, never sold and never sent to us.
CSV export
When you click Export CSV, the file is generated in your browser and saved to your device. It contains product- and variant-level figures (such as names, statuses, request counts, conversion and revenue totals) and product and variant IDs. It contains no customer emails or other customer personal information. Once downloaded, the file is under your control.
Roles: you, Wix and us
- You, the site owner, are the controller of your store data and your customers’ personal information, and are responsible for informing your customers about how their data is used on your site.
- Wix collects and stores that data as the platform your store runs on, and hosts the app.
- We provide software that you run in your own dashboard. Because the app sends nothing to us, we do not receive or hold your store data or your customers’ data. To the extent any law treats us as processing that data on your behalf, we do so only to show you the dashboard, on your instructions.
Legal basis
Where the GDPR or similar laws apply:
- Processing of store data inside the app is necessary to provide the app you chose to install (performance of a contract) and serves your legitimate interest in understanding demand and managing your inventory.
- Using customer emails in memory to match requests with orders relies on your legitimate interest, as the store owner, in measuring the results of back-in-stock notifications. The processing is limited to matching, with no storage, display or disclosure.
- Emails you send us are processed to answer you (performance of a contract or steps before one, and our legitimate interest in providing support).
No storage, sale or sharing
- We do not store your store data or your customers’ data.
- We do not sell personal information, and we do not “share” it for cross-context behavioral advertising (as those terms are used in the California Consumer Privacy Act).
- We do not use any data from your store for advertising, profiling, or training machine-learning models.
- The app contains no analytics, advertising or tracking code.
Wix as host and platform
The app runs on the Wix platform and is hosted by Wix. Wix processes your site’s data, including the data the app reads, under its own terms and privacy policy. When the app requests data, Wix checks the permissions you granted. As with any Wix app, Wix may make limited installation information available to us in its developer tools (for example, how many sites installed the app); we use it only to maintain and improve the app. Learn more in the Wix Privacy Policy.
This website
This website (Yairix Studio’s site, including these app pages) is hosted by Wix. We haven’t added analytics, advertising or tracking tools to it, and the pages don’t set cookies themselves. The only place it asks for personal information is the studio contact form, which is covered by the Yairix Studio privacy policy; if you email us, see the next section. Like any web host, Wix processes technical data such as IP addresses and browser information to deliver and secure the site, and may use strictly necessary cookies or similar technologies for that purpose, as described in the Wix Privacy Policy. If we add analytics in the future, we will update this policy first and ask for consent where the law requires it.
When you contact us
If you email us, we receive your email address, name (if included) and whatever you write, and use them only to reply and help you. Please don’t send us your customers’ personal information. Our email is provided by Google (Gmail), which processes messages under its own privacy terms.
Retention
- Store and customer data in the app: kept only in browser memory while the dashboard page is open, then discarded.
- Support emails: kept for as long as needed to handle your request and any follow-up, and deleted when no longer needed, usually within 24 months.
Security
The app accesses data only through Wix’s authenticated APIs, over encrypted connections, within the permissions you approved. Because we hold no copy of your store data, there is no developer-side database that could be breached. Keep your Wix account secure and only give dashboard access to collaborators you trust.
International transfers
The app doesn’t transfer your store data anywhere: it stays between your browser and Wix. Wix stores and processes data in its own infrastructure, as described in its privacy policy. Support emails are handled through Google’s infrastructure and may be processed outside your country.
Your rights
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct, delete, restrict or object to the processing of your personal information, to data portability, and to withdraw consent where processing is based on consent. In the EU and UK, you may also complain to your data protection authority; in Israel, to the Privacy Protection Authority. California residents have the right to know, delete and correct personal information, the right to opt out of its sale or sharing (we do neither), and the right not to be discriminated against for exercising these rights.
- Site owners: uninstalling the app stops all access immediately. To exercise a right regarding information we hold about you (such as support emails), email us.
- Customers of a store that uses the app: we hold none of your information. Please contact the store you dealt with, which controls your data, or Wix.
We respond to requests within the time required by applicable law, and may need to verify your identity first.
Children
The app is a business tool for store owners and is not directed to children. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 16. If you believe a child has sent us personal information, contact us and we will delete it.
Changes to this policy
If the app or the law changes, we may update this policy. We will post the new version on this page with a new effective date, and if a change materially affects how data is handled, we will highlight it here before it takes effect.
